EmPower+ Program
Get Free Insulation and Heat Pump Upgrades
If you are a customer of Con Edison, NYSEG, Central Hudson, National Grid, or another participating utility, you may qualify for up to 100 percent coverage of insulation and heat pump upgrades through the NYSERDA EmPower+ Program.
Healthy Home Energy and Consulting is a participating EmPower+ contractor and is proud to help eligible homeowners improve comfort at little to no cost.
What Is EmPower+?
The NYSERDA EmPower+ Program helps low to moderate-income households reduce energy bills and improve home performance by covering energy efficiency upgrades.
For qualifying households, improvements may be provided at no cost. The program is designed to:
- Lower monthly utility costs
- Reduce drafts and temperature imbalances
- Improve heating and cooling efficiency
- Increase overall home comfort
- Support long term energy savings
What Upgrades Does EmPower+ Cover?
Depending on eligibility and home needs identified during evaluation, EmPower+ may cover:
- Air sealing to reduce energy loss
- Insulation upgrades, including spray foam and cellulose
- High efficiency heat pumps and ductless mini splits
- Heat pump water heaters
- Ventilation improvements
- Electrical panel and wiring upgrades where required
- High efficiency lighting upgrades
Funding levels can vary, but qualifying households may receive up to $10,000 in covered upgrades. Additional electrification incentives may also be available for certain improvements.
